what do you think about putting a v8 in an s10?

cool?
bad?
gonna be quick as hell?

and if anyone can, give me some insight on this swap because im very tempted to do it with my S10

I had a few friends in high school who had that setup. Their S10s were super quick.

I read as "V10 S8" and I was thinking Audi S8.

Haha, I was thinking new BMW M engine a la S85/S65/S54/etc.

Traction is an issue. I had a guy put a Super-charged V8 in his S-10 but also weighed his bed down with a complete system+carpet, put a color matched camper on top and dropped the truck a couple inches. It was pretty nice and his traction was alot better than what it started when he first swapped it.

It was a beast of a mini-truck.

It will be like a modern day GMC Typhoon/Cyclone. Those trucks have the supercharged V6 from the Buick GNX. Slap the LS2 in it!

LMAO, I thought the exact same thing, then I read the first response about someone's highschool buddies doing it.... I'm like what is this? your buddies must've been either master techs or filthy rich. Lol!

My friend with an S10 Xtreme has been talking about doing this for the past 7 years now, he's never pulled it off though. Another option is to supercharge the V6
