I see the same team that worked on the nasty Acura Advanced Sedan Concept car have been busy! I'm sorry but if this thing makes it on the road, it may cause thousands of accidents from people vomitting upon sight of it.

It's like someone looked at the design, thought it was way to boring and conservative, and made them replace the grille and taillights with something "edgy". Looks like Acura's new "style" will be an insanely ugly grille.

Yep......just one more reason to look at the present, superb RL.

And, though you can't tell it from the pictures, don't be surprised if the doors are thinner and tinnier on the new one......on the present car they are like a tank. Skimpier doors with new vehicles and redesigns is rapidly becoming epidemic in the auto industry.

The present RL, while not a sports or glamor car, is anything BUT boring.

But I agree the new one, at least in the pics, is disappointing. That grille is awful.....worse then some Audis.

Absolutely horrific. I can't believe my eyes. They actually found a way to make it uglier. It looks like a Chinese copy of the current Acura RL. And I was one of the few people who actually liked the current RL.
Honda is trying WAY too hard to be different and progressive. In the process, their designers seem to have totally lost their way. (if you stand in a fish market long enough, the smell goes away)

With every new design, I brace myself for what new monstrosity they'll throw our way next. Their designers seem to have some weird obsession with the grill as the focal point. And that has turned cars like the MDX into visual abominations.

On a different note, who on earth took these photographs? They scream cheap to me. I mean, WTF is going on at Acura?

What were they thinking with those taillights? It looks like the designer slipped with his pencil! And that grille!!

Well, unlike with the present superb RL, I'm about ready to laugh at this one, too...especially that even-worse-than-Audi grille.

I really think the previous RL looked much classier from the outside and I don't even think that one was that classy. This could easily pass as a model that was used to phase in the new Accord from the old. And guess what the new Accord looks 10x better than this RL. I'm interested in the uprated engine and new tuning they have done because from what I've read that is it's downfall. If it competes with the GS/M/5/etc. it should be a proper sporty grand touring sedan not a sedate luxury vehicle (LS/7/etc.)

Audi's new grill is fantastic. I was the same as you at first, but now I see Walter de Silva's genius.

You and I may just have to agree to disagree on that one. I still think Audi had a good thing going with the old grilles and then screwed them up......just like Chris Bangle did with a number of features on newer BMWs.
