I think it is a waste of money on the RX and ES series. Save it for the LS. Distinct color keyed rear spoiler on the RX? That was availably in Japan since 2003 on the 2004 model. Heck, I had my 2004 spoiler color matched myself at the body shop. Looks great, but definitely NOT worth the money as part of a Pebble Beach package. The interior looks exactly the same as my 04. So they painted the window switches a different color. Big deal. Maybe if they offered real aluminum in stead of painted plastic that might be something.

Even for the LS600hL, I think it's more likely not worth it, unless it's offered with a really great color combination(not just more unique due to limited units available).
I never particularly desire any of the Pebble Beach Editions SC430's so far,& will not pay a dollar extra for any of them.

On the RX its motre than just color combo. Unique wheels and grille as well as the golf clubs and the choice of one of two luxury packages. Its a good deal and its a way to have a unique car.

i actually would consider the RX if it werent the last model year. nice color and wheels. however, on the ES its not worth it.

on a side note, anyone ever wonder why the RX doesnt get semianaline leather?

Because it's an "entry level" luxury vehicle. The IS and ES don't get it either...

With only 6,000 PBE ES350's available, when you divide them out among all of the dealers in the U.S. and maybe Canada, it's just a handful of cars per dealer. They'll probably all sell, and just be a blip on the sales radar at the end of the year.

BTW the ES UL is availble with semi analine leather.

yeh no,the ES has semianaline leather as a regular package which is why im surprised the RX doesnt get the same treatment because it doesnt get it at all.

True. (I forgot. Damn, my brother has an ES350 with the Ultra-Lux package... )

The problem is that if the RX or IS get too pricey, it starts touching the price range of the GX and GS respectively. It may not be the smartest move to make the RX or IS climb further over $50k (which it already does, fully loaded)...

Good point. Even a loaded ES is pushing into the low to mid $40K range putting it close to some other desireable makes/models. Maybe no semi analine in the RX since it's for SUV duty and might not be as durable? Just a thought.

From looking at the website i found a few pieces of info i overlooked. The ES pebble beach is an 09 and the RX has a unique interior if you get the Ivory you get brown walnut instead of the birds eye maple.

Hmm.. dunno but in Canada, we get two leather options - leather and premium leather. The premium leather is the semi-aniline from the old LS. The standard leather is.... well... run-of-the-mill leather, nothing special.

I guess that is a way for stock car buying people to have a unique factory offered modified car. I, on the other hand would rather use the money and be really unique and buy my own rims, buy either custom golf clubs or maybe a nice set of Pings . Sorry, while I do think it is a nice package (Price aside), I don't consider anything offered from the factory unique. It is as unique as the next person willing to buy the same Pebble Beach Package. Plus, I like the look of the Thunder Cloud Grill better myself anyway. It may not be for me, but I'm sure people with extra money to throw around will love it.

The RX is nearing the end of its life. It's no different than the Coach Edition for the RX300. A little something to spice up the lineup until the new one arrives.
