Default Toyota Canada lowers prices on 16 models (up to $16,800)

Toronto, Ontario - Toyota Canada has announced price reductions on the MSRP of sixteen Toyota and Lexus vehicles offered for sale across Canada. The price reduction ranges from $750 on the Toyota Yaris to $8,100 on the Lexus GX series.

"We have always monitored the Canadian market and taken action accordingly," said Stephen Beatty, Managing Director of Toyota Canada Inc. "Now, we're pleased to take these further steps. These MSRP reductions are transparent and consistent, making it easier for customers to make informed purchasing decisions. They also benefit customers, whether they are leasing, financing or purchasing their vehicles with cash."

With the announcement, the 2009 Lexus RX series is launched at lower introductory pricing, and MSRP has been reduced for all 2008 Toyota and Lexus models. Exceptions are models already adjusted late in 2007 (Prius, Tundra and Lexus GS series) and 2008 models being cleared out (Corolla, Matrix, Camry and RX 350).

Other models are lower by the following amounts:

RAV4 $2k
Avalon $2k
FJ Cruiser $1k
Highlander $2750
Highlander Hybrid $1750
4Runner $2020
Tacoma $2350
Sienna $2350

Lower Lexus prices:

IS250 $4650
ES350 $3000
SC430 $7150
LS460 $6600
RX350 $7200
GX470 $8100
GS350 AWD $4250
LX570 $16800

They just converted most of the Cash Credits offered last December & January to an official price reduction for most Lexus models. Real prices don't make much differences, if at all, compared to the past 2 months.

The IS250 in Canada is now only $31,900. Very close to the IS250 price in the US ($30,600). Props to Lexus/Toyota!!!

Base IS250 in Canada comes with fabric seats as standard though, leather is an extra cost option.

Sales tax is still typically double in Canada what it is in the U.S. so it's still a rough deal.

Also, I bet Lexus dealers were getting killed with people buying cars in the U.S. so Lexus had to do this.

plus our PDI is nuts. You guys get charged $685 for destination while we get $1,100 for PDI. I don't know what Lexus charges for PDI/Dest.
