You don't need to be so defensive to the point that you feel the need to make barbs about Lexus or the IS-F either. I never said the GT-R isn't a great car. As I stated originally, I just think they didn't tap the potential on the V-Spec as far as weight reductions and that's very disappointing.
My point is, if I want a performance car, the 'ring times are very relevant to the decision process in selecting a car.

BTW, I love my Lexus...its reliable and does everything I want it to but the 'ring times aren't relevant because its not a performance car. It has other metrics that are important. For the GTR, measure it on what the intended focus of the car was going to be, a street-legal race car molded on the 'ring to maximize handling.
