Our 04 Sienna is at about 23 mpg over its life in mostly city/suburban driving. No complaints about mpg here for the Sienna, particularly when compared to most SUVs which rarely hit the 20s even for highway driving. And I agree, it is deceptively fast with very responsive acceleration.

Not bad. I wonder what happens if you have the AWD versions .

Yes, rented one of these from Hertz a few months ago. Big improvement over the 3.3L. Only issue on this engine is piston slap when cold. My ES350 has it, the Sienna from Hertz had it, and many ES350 loaners that I have driven had it. Otherwise, great engine!

By the way, your Aunt must be "thrilled" that you raced her minivan.

I was thinking the same thing. Probably not what auntie had in mind when she lent you the van to move some furniture.

The 3.5 in the RAV4 makes it the hot rod in small crossover segment.

I have asked a Toyota dealer down here a few times to give me permission to take a Highlander and a Sienna to the dragstrip. I already have seen a new V6 Camry do 17.0 (this is at 7,411 feet) at night and 17.2 during the day, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qKOVWfVy6o I would imagine both vehicles would clip my RX300, but not by much given my record is a 17.931.

Depends. You have the AWD version? Cause that one uses quite a bit more than the FWD version in real life observations.
