Toyota Sienna = the ultimate sleeper?

Toyota started to produce the 3.5L in the Sienna in 2007. So, 04 to 06 models have the 3.3L. I owned a 2004 with the 3.3L and it had hesitation issues. The 3.5L is far better.
So, if you want to race, gotta be in an 07 or 08 model year Sienna to really have some fun.
By the way, those videos are funny. But, scary to think what my kids will do with my rides when they start to drive. I hope I don't see my ES350 on youtube one day.

Did anyone see that Odyssey commercial that ran a few months ago? A young Husband and wife left the kids at home and were driving their van pretty fast around some curvy roads. The wife was holding onto the "oh-******" handle as her husband was taking the curves fast. I LMAO everytime that was on TV. I mean come on!!! If my wife and I were out without the kids, you would not catch us out in the minivan.
Being a previous minivan owner, I took pride that I had our 04 Sienna loaded down for vacation, with a clam shell on the roof, driving down to Florida on 95. I hit 100 mph before it started to shake. Had to back it down to 90. That van took a beating, as it saw the East Coast from Maine to Florida a few times before we got rid of it.

Looks aside, wouldn't you rather have 270HP in the same car as opposed to 230? In a vehicle that size that tends to be loaded down with kids, gear, groceries, etc...the more power the better. And it's also a rather fuel efficient engine to top it off.

True true I do see the logic having more power in such a automobile while at the same time getting better gas milage. Even still its remains funky ugly to me and I would not touch it. I'd rather spend my money on the very attractive Honda with its 230 hp which isn't bad at all (I've driven one although not as loaded as your illustration). Its bad enough its a mini van in the first place at least give me one that looks good. The front of that Sienna looks like a frickin life size insect, which I feel is the design inspiration of most Toyotas.

Lexus should sell the Alphard instead of poseur 3-ton SUV's.
And I can also buy a Hiace and install a custom wetbar/hot tub/media room in the back

But the car needs a bigger engine than its 3.0L V6. It didn't want to move when I was driving the car, and I don't think the street in America are forgiving enough for the Alphard's suspension.

My parents have 2007 Alphard G in Asia, and I think it's one of the best mini van I have ever seen. Luxurious inside out.

When two little buggers in the back need to poo-poo, you're gonna wish it had 500hp lol.

Like someone said, the base 2.4liter engine will not survive the streets in the states.
