Here are the options packages for each:

xDrive35i:

Cold Weather Package (ZCW) - $900
Rear Climate Package (ZRC) - $900
Premium Sound Package (ZPS) - $2,000
Active Ventilated Seat Package (ZAV) - $1,100
Technology Package (ZTP) - Not available as vehicle already comes standard with Navigation

Stand Alone Options:
Running Boards - $300
HD Radio - $350
Heated Rear Seats - $350
Rear-View Camera - $400
Heated Front Seats - $500
Automatic Tailgate - $500

I agree, but I also have a hunch that BMW will still sell a ton of them.

This thing should start around $40k. $52k is ridiculous!

It does look weird, but it seems to be in line with the current trend of SUV designs. X5 is my favorite BMW, and I hope the introduction of X6 doesn't affect the future designs of X5.

As a 5-series owner, this is the car I want. I'd like to have AWD and be up a little higher - but a suv like the X5 is just not my type. THIS is what I am looking for (and sorry guys, but you probably are not in BMWs crosshairs so personally I don't think they are too worried about ya).

That said, I think this car is a niche model and will not sell in huge numbers.

I am however excited that it is priced more reasonably than first reported (looks to be in line with the X5) and I love the fact that we can finally get ventilated seats as an easy option (in the 5-series it is called a Priority 1 option and it is a PITA and very expensive to get).

It'd be out of my price range even if I wanted it. But some nice power under that hood.

Unique vehicle for unique people.. This vehicle was sure cutting up the corners on the ring in Germany.. I can't wait for this years Ultimate Drive Event.. I want to wring out this vehicle on the course as I did with the X5 last year.
