Default is this IS250 deal good?

I already picked up the car - its my sisters. credit was 760 tier 1 plus preferred credit.

base IS250 automatic 33,800 sticker 31,800 selling price

36 months 12,000 miles

513/month complimentary service first two years and pickup and delivery

signed paperwork and drove out paying only first months payment of $513 total.

any thoughts? i have not picked up the car yet becasue it was in some place and had to be brought in so techincally since i have not driven out of the parking lot i am still allowed to change mine according to texas law.

let me know. thanks

p.s. the way ive been told is that whatever the sticker for the car is...if your payment is 1-1.5% of that amount WITHOUHT putting ANYTHING down....you got a GREAT deal. using that as baseline, payment comes to 1.5% of msrp.

Not a bad price considering the free service you are getting. I did some hunting for any applicable Lexus rebates and couldn't find any....Lexus doesn't seem to be offering any on 2008 models.

What is the 513/month supposed to mean? That is unclear.

OK...I didn't mean to ask a dumb question. The 513 makes more sense now. It's good that you at least got a local rebate.....I couldn't find any national ones. What you quote appears to be for a lease, not a purchase, right? 10K miles is a little stingy (some places give you 12-15K) but it's still acceptable.

I think its a bad deal. Who cares about service. Its just all oil changes anyways.

I got my 2007 IS250 back in December of 2006. MSRP $35,222 I got it for $29,800 before tax of course.

Yeah it sounds like a decent deal. What happened to the rumor of IS250 getting the 3.0 engine when GS300 switched to 350?

I'm not talking about the inline, it's the 3.0 V6 engine from the 3rd gen GS before it got the 3.5 V6.

It would seem they're still trying to keep the confusion with models to a minimum. There has already been an IS300 in the US, and they don't want to confuse it with a 2IS 300 model. It would be better IMHO though - the 250 is really not a lot of power for a pretty heavy car.
