It sure does.. Only 333 rwhp for the IS-f compared to 368 rwhp for its rival M3. In any event, the video was nice. By the looks of the vid, the IS-f seems to handle in the same manner as the C63 AMG. Can't wait to see that Jeremy "apple test" with IS-F, C63, M3, CTS-V, RS4

obviously not..
I agree.
Weight is a factor, transferring of power, power threshold, etc. Lots of factors go into transmissions. That's why I think DSG > 8-spd auto.

So that's why the numbers are so inaccurate.

From that video it looks like it could use some work on the suspension.
He was sliding all over the place.
I want to see its time on 5th gear around the track.

He was trying to. Fifth gear typically has a section of their show that they drift all over the track. They love oversteer.

Not a bad car for its first try. I can only hope this car gets even better.

Now someone correct me if I am wrong but, was the IS-F born from when Rod Millen basically did the exact same thing Lexus did with the IS-F?

Rod Millen I remember a few years ago, dropped a V8 engine in an IS threw a Supra transmission in it, extended the front end a few inches to make the engine fit, and pumped out like 500 HP in that little beast.

Is this where the IS-F was born from?

I believe it was Chip Foose not Rod. They had a Rides TV special on it.

Actually both shops.. I remember seeing it in person at the NYIAS years ago.

Lexus displayed an IS300 fitted with a 4.3-liter V-8 from its GS430. The IS430, which Lexus dubs a one-off with no plans for production, was built by Rod Millen's shop, and also includes a Getrag 6-speed manual transmission, Brembo brakes, TEIN springs and electrically adjustable dampers, Speed Star SSR 18-inch wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Rhys Millen Racing body components adorn the exterior, which gets a Chip Foose paint job.http://www.automobilemag.com/feature...430/index.html
