I just saw the car yesterday when he took delivery. It's a A4 2.0T in Phantom black Pearl paint with the beige leather and the birch wood trim. I'm not sure if all of them have it standard, but it had the "S-line" badge on the front which I think is just a sport appearance package. The wheels are the split-spoke 17s. Overall a pretty sharp car...

The car had the leather wheel and shifter, but he said the wife wanted the wood anyway so he had the dealer order up the parts.

The light colored birch wood does look pretty sweet instead of the regular walnut color.

On another note, I spotted a nice gouge in the bumper cover - something about the size of a pinhead but way deep into the plastic. They touched it up for now but are ordering him a new bumper cover to replace it - AND they took $1k off the price of the car also. My co-worker's lease on his A6 is up in a few months and he plans on getting an A5 this time around... no wonder the dealer is keeping him happy.

Thanks for the input on the wheel guys..... I'd go with the wood myself too - I really like it on my '99 LS. The only thing that was better was the heated wheel on my '02 Maxima SE - too bad the rest of the car was a POS.

Whatever the reasons that's pretty great customer service! $1K for a pinhead hole!?
