if that's the case, it brings another question. on some cars, you can easily lift off the gas door (not like lexus where you have to open from inside the car). if that's the case, doesn't it make it easy for some people to steal gas that way?
we had to get a lock installed on our ford excursion, which holds 44 gallons. God its like the jackpot of all gas tanks.

rominl there is a pre filter (screen type) in the filler tube in the lexus soo i dont think a hose would even reach the gas in the tank

ic, so it depends on the car then? and say on our lexus it's like impossible to get the gas out?

RON, that sounds scary. that means if the hose is stuck then i am in trouble?
Well, you're removing the liquid from the tank anyway. The water will be the first liquid to come out out of the tank.

I have no idea about filters or valves or any of this stuff to prevent removal of fuel, although I suppose it makes sense to have it (for that and other purposes).

easiest way to remove the gas, open the fuel door and park the car in the bad side of town over night, it'll be taken care of for free.

yes there is a way i cant remember thought i spoke to my tech at lexus and i think he said there is a drain on the tank but iam not sure where

Most tanks have a drain, but you'd have to lift the car to get good access.
