I am certain a Valet attendant curbed my wheel

Get a new LS460, Mike, and let it park itself.
No, seriously, while a valet, as you suggest, may indeed have done it, alloy wheel chipe and damage can come from a number of sources. Road debris, potholes, kids slipping and running into them with skates, skateboards, bicycles, etc..., other vehicles with protruding devices hitting them while backing up, sloppy/careless work done on tire-shop machines (though I take it you did not have any tire work done in the meantime), vandals...it's a long list.
So, while the chances are that the valet DID do it, I wouldn't be too quick to point the finger at him or her. And, like bitkahuna and some of the other posters here, I don't mess with valets....I either park my own car (which I'm very good at) or avoid places that have them.
If it really bothers you that much, you might even be able to make an insurance claim for a new wheel. You could claim a vandal or teen-age kid did it, and it would not be insurance fraud....it IS a possiblilty, there's no way to tell for sure who did it. But making a claim, of course, would depend on several things. First, whether the claims-adjuster would write it up under collision or comprehensive (you're usually better off if it is under under comprehensive). Second, of course, if it is an aftermarket wheel or not...and if your policy covers aftermarket stuff (many don't). Third, of course, how much your deductibles are.....a new wheel and labor may not add up to your deductible amount, so you wouldn't really have a claim. And, of course, Fourth, if that specific wheel is still available new or not...otherwise you'd have to go see if a salvage yard has an undamaged one..

I will never allow a valet to park any of my vehicles again.. I had this situation last year https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...LARS+IN+DAMAGE
Good luck on the repair Mike. Take the rim to a wheel refinisher or body shop. A local CL member (thanks Dennis) took care of some curb rash problems for me a while back.

I've seen a valet going to park a conversion van in a parking garage. He drives around the 7' warning sign goes up the 2nd floor turn in going about 20mph & crushed the top of the van.I had my windows up and music on & can hear the impact.I was going to the 3rd floor to park & was behind him when I seen that.

I wish I could avoid valets, but it's sometimes impossible in parts of Los Angeles, especially at nice restaurants in the Beverly Hills area.
The only resort is to ask the valet to park the car up front, but those spots are usually taken by exotics

Making a claim is impossible now. The valet company won't pay for it unless you point out the damage right then and there.
In SoCal, sometimes you cannot avoid valeting your car in certain areas; there is no other parking. I've had a few bad incidents happen:
1) Valet scraped the bumper of my old Lexus. I went back the next day and they wouldn't pay up.
2) A valet once took my car out and received a parking ticket in a residential area of Hollywood. Of course I received the ticket in the mail after they tossed the original.
3) I parked my car at a club and waited outside for friends to show. I saw the valet drive past me 3 times in my car.
So yeah, valets suck.

As you suggest, there are other possible causes for wheel damage, but not for telltale curbage. If no other person parks your car, it was the valet that did the damage.

I know every time I wash the car, I'm going to get pissed. Sean, we do have good wheel repair shop but its just a cosmetic blemish and this is no show car so I doubt I have it fixed.
