I love the spaceship design.
I would love to have one for my car collection.
I remembered that commercial where that silver? Z passed the 911 and stopped on the pier

Big coolant system issues, your SC300 has a bigger radiator for instance. One little slip up and you can kiss the motor goodbye. (It happened to me)
Automatic trannies are very weak. I went through 2 in my TT and my friend went through 4. Both of us daily drove them and didn't beat on them. His was stock; mine had StageIV+ JWT upgrades. Driveshafts go out rather easily too. Both of us had to replace our dshafts because the U-joints went bad and started making loud thumping sounds when accelerating.
Parts cost a lot for them when modding turbos since you have to buy two of everything, and the motors won't handle a lot of power unless you dump a ton of cash into them. (I guess that depends on if you were into that or not). And as Cocobun mentioned, they are a PITA to work on. Turbos are extremely difficult to get out without pulling the motor; which makes the downpipes extremely hard to get off without pulling the motor. And everything is literally crammed into the engine bay (which is A LOT smaller than your SC bay in width and length)
NA 300zxs are slow as dirt; I could just beat them in my stock SC300 (5spd vs 5spd) before I did the headgasket swap due to the SC's chassis being much better for launching than the Z32's anti-squat geometry BS and that the I6 makes more power up top and on the freeway.
Nice looking car though, and yeah the interior is of better quality than anything Nissan has today. If you're not getting a TT and not prepared to replace the coolant system and spend a couple weekends doing major checking on vacuum lines/fuel lines (all of which are prone to leakage) and getting the transmission checked (if its an auto), I wouldnt waste your time.
So many TTs around this area with similar stories. Grenaded trannies, grenaded motors due to coolant systems dying. That car gave me more headaches than anything else in my life and put more debt into my credit cards than I care to mention (not a single $ for mods either).
