Condensed Review: 2008 Acura TSX

Good read as always. Similar to what I'd say about my friend's car except the doors. I thought they sounded ok. My gripe with the doors is that they're waaay to heavily weighted (it's an 04 model).
So when you're in a tight parking spot and I'm in the back seat, I'm scared to open the door because you use quite a bit of force to open it but you're worried you'll reach the denté, at which point, the door will "give" and suddenly swing open to settle in the denté. I'm always worried I'll ding the car (or my the paint on the door of my friend's car).

For instance, I don't particularly like the sound and feel of the way that the window-frameless Subaru front doors close (the rear ones sound much better), but there is no arguing that Subarus are built like a rock...especially in side-impacts.

It's not that the TSX doors are excessively flimsy......they're not. They just don't shut with the solidness and thunk that those on many other Honda/Acura products do. Many people, believe it or not, rate a car's overall quality simply by how the doors sound when they close......you and I both know that is naive and oversimplistic, but it does happen.

The sound of a door closing is one of the things I check too. A solid thunk gives an impression of solidity.
