I've had two things happen to my audio system when taking it in to the dealer or any other repair shop. Generally the system is turned off and that is a good thing. 2nd, sometimes all my settings are different meaning someone messed with my system. In the old days of slider EQs, this used to **** me off because I could spend hours and days tuning my system only to have it all screwed up. Now days there are presets so its not so bad, but it still pisses me off when someone messes with my A/V system settings.
To tell you the truth, I don't mind them listening or watching the A/V system as long as they know what they are doing. Its when they mess up the settings the pisses me off.

CD PLAYER
Slot 1: Feist
Slot 2: The Best of Tiny Tim
Slot 3: Sony Audio Diagnostic Tones
Slot 4: Yoko Sings The Best Of John Lennon
Slot 5: Frank Sinatra & Barbara Streisand - Ghetto Rumble
Slot 6: Amy Winehouse - I'm Sober Now
That ought to keep them from approaching your audio system.

those who say this is ok, i can't agree with you at all. so does that mean any of the following is ok too with your car when they "service" it?
1) quick one time burnout
2) 2-3 times panic brake
3) lean against the body of your car in their jeans
all those do are tear and wear, car won't die, just like them blasting the audio.
it's about work ethics, it's about moral on what you should and should not do, period. it's not your car, then treat them like other people's properties. they didn't bring their cars in for you to have fun.
when i work on people's cars, i always take ultra care. turn off headlights, turn off audio, very careful in and out of the car not scratching door panels or the seats, careful on edge of seats, etc... that's work ethics.

I agree with rominl. He has a great point. My dad used to always say treat other peoples property better than your own. If you work on something for someone, return it in better shape (Not just the work being done) than when you got it. Obviously that doesn't mean paint his whole car if there is a chip in the paint, but that is a good idea to keep in mind.

how can people tolerate something like that? what if they decide to do something else when they are bored?
the fact of matter is that they do not care for customer's car.
If i have time, i am going to send that video to Lexus corp and have them evaluate this matter.

Seriously.. I found my radio playing Jay-Z once. Not that I have a problem with Jay-Z but it just makes me suspicious cause you can't possibly play Jay-Z with the radio at Volume 10. lol. Or rather, they can't possibly play Jay-Z at volume 10.
