Not the VERY newest one, but I sampled one a couple of years ago, after the original chassis was revised a little. I didn't formally write one up in a review.

The original FX was almost sports-car like in its ride.

Bottom line, the article is subjective. To each his/her own when it comes to comfort.

My moms got the 03 FX, it is very sporty in the ride, but I like it, and she likes the feel of the road. Its not so uncomfortable you cant ride in it on long trips, but the bumps are there for sure.
As far as the list goes, what is the definition of comfortable in this instance? All 5 of those cars have different things they seem to like, I didnt read them all, but the 2 that I did read dont say anything about the ride itself being comfortable.

That list is one of the reasons R&T comes in the mailbox and is used to start the fireplace.

From what they wrote in the article they just read the specs and options and didn't even drive the Genesis to declare it "comfortable". WTF? Does R&T really not care about credibility anymore?

If you're doing that, you might as well burn the money you pay for the subscription with.

I subscribe to R&T, too, but I agree there are better auto mags. R&T, though, does have an excellent "Technical Correspondence" in the back of the magazine every month, with questions from readers. The explanations are excellent. At least read those before you use the rest of the issue to roast marshmallows.

It was $2 Mike . They have some good features, I am exaggerating a little. Just that list is ridiculous. I don't think they have even DRIVEN a couple of them.

Hell you could make a list!!!

The Town Car is extremely quiet, but the ride is actually not as smooth as you would think. It shares much the same suspension with the Ford Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis. Even the non-police/taxi versions of this platform were stiffened up a little several years ago....to the point that Consumer Reports says is borderline firm.
