Default Real-life Initial D (crazy Japanese mountain downhill night drifts)

It's one thing to watch it in cartoon, but quite another to watch people do it for real. These Japanese drifters sure got some mad skillz AND ballz.

Old videos I know, but hopefully not a repost here.

Not surprised, I've seen it before. Oh, and you've got it the other way around: real life influenced Initial D; Initial D never influenced real life in Japan anyways.

Initial D is originally based on Japanese drifters who in real life would drift on mountain roads at night time.

That's right haha I got it totally opposite.

So you've been one of those spectators seeing these night drifiting scenes up close before? Wow... Must be quite an experience.

Haha would be nice, but no. But one of my friends is Japanese, and he's actually seen it himself a few years ago while visiting family in Japan.

I mean this is called street racing, I can almost be ashamed of what North America, if not the world, calls street racing...
We are saying street racing here in a straight line is so dangerous this and that, The Japanese form is much more if not 10 times more dangerous than what we have here.

wow. though I'd never try to do something like that ever... but wow.....

drifting never got old in japan...it just was a fad/trend/whatever you wanna call it in the States.

I didn't like drifting but loved going "grip" around those twisties.

That is some good driving. And it also gave you a lesson on how to properly install a bumper and thats with zipties, and is the car with the underbody lights considered rice or JDM?...lol
