The GS450h, Ls600HL aren't even that environmentally friendly, they only get about 20-25mpg but they do use less gas for their horsepower levels, which is to ease the guilt for rich people with a thirst for fast cars. So far the RX400h is the best with around 26-28mpg which is ok at best.

And it's not a bad idea since a lot of college students tend to be liberal and environment friendly and many college students graduate and make enough money to afford upscale cars.
Im seriously considering a Camry hybrid for when I get new a car. Of course, by the time that comes I imagine the technology will be a alot better.

But the point is that they are fast. Road and Track has 40k miles on their GS450 and are averaging 25.3mpg. Thats pretty good for a car that can hit 60MPH in just over 5 seconds. Most cars that size and that fast would only average 18 mpg and spew alot more pollutants.
