Default New ride for dad's 55th birthday input needed

hey guys
I am thinking of getting my dad a new car for his birthday, he has been driving a LS400, cars that I have in mind right now are LS600h, S65 AMG, 760li, or a cayenne turbo. What do you guys think I should do any advice would be great thanks.

I think the LS600, and not because it's a Lexus, but it's because it has AWD. These cars with so much power are scary with RWD.

Sounds like the OP has money to bank a good car so money should not be an issue. I say go for the LS600h but then why not get him a GTR ?

For those prices, why not splurge and get a Maserati Quattroporte?

Does he drive a lot? Or is he retired? That would be such a pimp car to carry golf clubs in...

My bros and I got him a Porsche 911 turbo for his 50th birthday and he did not like it at all. That car is just sitting in his garage for now. So sports car is not an option here, he likes the space.

The Quattroporte is a four-door five-seater sedan.

The Masrati is rather lame... the only good thing about it is that its rather affordable, well relatively.

Seriously. Get him LS600h or Audi S8.

Here ...if your bank account is THAT big, get him a Maybach before it goes out of production.

interior and exterior of the maybach is hideous. the front interior/exterior has been borrowed straight from the previous S class.

i suggest also the 600h, or even an S63, S550, LS460L

Actually the current S class borrowed a lot from Maybach. That being said, Maybach is owned and built by MB, so they are indeed closely related. And I don't think its hideous by any means. I'm sure Hitler would be sporting one of those if he was still around.

Dude, it actually has the highest base price, I believe around 110k base. I actually love it.

S8 is getting long in the tooth but classic. If he likes his Lexus, LS 600 is the next logical step.

Also, what about the ALpina B7???

I do not think maybach is an option because I am actually getting a few cars in the next few months. A IS250 for my sister's high school graduation, my dads birthday and my GTR when it arrives sometime in the future......so LOL.
