my buddy blew his civic's engine, same thing, fram filters suck. Cardboard endcaps, are you freakin kidding me! If you want a nice good OTC filter the Purloator PureOnes are great and Amazon.com has them 2 for 1 several times a year.

Depends on the type of Fram filter used, I know some people in my forum who have used them with no issues. Personally, I use an oversized K&N, the HP-2009.
