Murcielago all the way. Its by far the best looking car on the market, or atleast one of the best. I can care less if any other car could out-run/out-turn because I would rather drive slow and be seen it

430, I love the wail of one with straight pipes.

However, I've only seen one LP640 roadster, it was white, and it said "teh sex" allll over it. Drool...

*flipping a coin*
F430 wins this round...

F430 but only if they can paint it a solid color, no stripes.
if out of my pocket, definitely the gt-r.

Oh yeah - can you imagine taking a GTR to the dealer for service? You'd have the same knuckleheads that wrench on Sentras and Altimas servicing your car... pfft yeah right!
if you knew anything about the gt-r, you would know that only specially trained technicians are allowed to work on the gt-r in a separate service bay.
so you can stop being ignorant now.

The F430 only comes in solid colors, the limited edition Scuderia only comes with "stripes" and for a 2 year production.

Where is it a one year wait list? Lamborghini Orange County has 2 brand new LP640 roadsters and one white Versace LP640 with only 780 miles on it... Just wondering if it's one year for a special order or what...

I'm the same way. I picked the Scuderia but am dealing with the fact that I'll probably not own one from the current generation (if ever). Personally, I would have bought my first Ferrari long ago had dealerships not wanted $80-100k over MSRP to get ahead on the waiting lists. What's the purpose really, so the annoying smarmy salesman I have to deal with can buy another tacky gold Rolex which he can wear with the other two he's got on each wrist?

A friend of mine has been on the list for a 430 since 2005 at PenskeLV, and he said that one of the salesmen basically admitted to him that they would keep pushing him back on the list unless he bought a used Ferrari now at a tremendous markup and then sold it back to the dealership once his ordered 430 arrived; ostensibly, the dealership would make a huge profit on both transactions (not to mention the third transaction, of selling the new vehicle). The dealerships are just too greedy, and the effect is that Ferrari as a brand has quickly moved away from being an enthusiast vehicle to a poser vehicle.

Honestly, I don't think there's any reason to continue these socialist pricing structures for luxury items which put the MSRP far below market pricing, such as with Ferrari vehicles or even event tickets, like for sports and concerts. Why not just have the company or owning entity continually auction off to the highest bidder (either as new units become available, or until all units are sold)? I would not mind paying Ferrari market value for a new car, but paying off a dealership and salesmen instead of Ferrari is just silly to me. Same thing paying off some scummy ticket broker $1000 when the concert or sports venue only got $100 of it. It's ridiculous that we insist on selling goods at MSRP, then allow unscrupulous middlemen - who had nothing to do with the creation of the product - to profit immensely.

The Scuderia can be had without stripes. (Being presumptuous, in retrospect I'm guessing you simply misplaced the "only" in indicating that only the Scuderia can come with stripes.)

I've only seen them with stripes as part of the Scuderia "package"?

But yeah the way you described the Ferrari wait list is right on target, it's ridiculous the way customers are gouged. People will still pay the premium and put up with being treated like crap though. lol

GTR, for teh reason that the ferraris and lambo's are mainly bought by rich posers who store them i the garage and barely run them over 3500 rpm. i refuse to be thought if in that way.
gtr's will mostly be bought by true enthusiasts who will drive them as they were meant to be, that's the image i want, not the bling bling, status symbol, mtv, rap video bull ****.
