he said there is a LONG wait for his service since this is his hobby and not a job, consider it takes him 12 hrs to do each car, i am not surprised, i will get more detail and update everyone.

I have to arrange a trip back to CA, but it should be worth it since AZ summer is coming up

wow, just wow. that's insane job done. i do detailing on the side and this is some mad skill. must be tiring, i usually do details for 8 hours and i am half dead already

rate for pros are usually around 50-60 dollars a hour. so you can do the math, if charge by hours, 24 hours that's like 1200 bucks

just got more detail, i am sure some of it is better kept confidential, but i will share with what I think is ok for public

Each car will take around 8-20 hours, I go through a VERY thorough examination of the paints surface including taking over 300 measurements of your paints clear coat and map it onto a computer to pin point the highs and lows to make sure the clear is even after I polish. (99% of detailers do not do this which may lead to premature clear coat failure/ burnt paint) The information is stored in the database under your file so it can be accessed during routine maintenance. Then it goes through a 8 step wash, 3 step clay, an intensive clear coat leveling polish/compound process, sealant ($311 p gallon), then wax.

next available is AUG 16th!!!

for this kind of job, the price is DEFINITELY worth every penny (pm me if you want to know)

good info kev. first time prep is always the most important. when i work on people's car, the first time is always 8+ hours too. but they are all daily drivers so i never recommend to them the perfect finish coz' by the time they leave my garage they aren't perfect anymore

these guys did some insanely good job

The orange peel in unbeatable on our Bimmers. Its proabably the worst I have ever seen on a car. My Honda S2000 and my wife's TSX and the NSX has NO OP at all but the paint is thin. However, on this 30K Lexus, the paint is both THICK and PERFECT. You would think when I bought my 99K M5 I would expect the same or better quality paint that a 30k Toyota?

I think the biggest problem is that most people dont see it and dont care. (except us crazies!)
Love this post by him!
