Well I've been watching an incredible weekend of NBA basketball, thus many car ads. A few things that struck me.

1. This is the first time I recall seeing 72 month financing advertised on T.V. This was for a Caddy Escalade and Chevy Impala. I couldn't believe it, that is EXACTLY what is wrong with the economy and the decisions being made.

2. Saw the first TSX ad. Its awful and they went with some chic "its luxury" kind of thing advertising gadgets, not the car. Its quite ugly.

3. I cannot believe Ford said "Toyota" in their ad, touting their improvement in quality.

4. The Porsche ad with the Cayenne GTS and then all the Porsche's exhausts makes me want to sell my soul.

5. Mitsubishi had an ad, 0 to 60, 0 in 60 showing the Eclipse and it is quite disgusting to look at as well.

6. I like the Caddy CTS ads, good stuff.

7. How on earth did Kia become a partner with the NBA. Surely no NBA player, nor anyone in their entourage, has a Kia .

8. I don't like Toyota dealer ads. Disgusting, loud and they have nothing I am remotely interested in outside of the hybrids.

9. The Acura TL ads were good, advertising the TL-S. Some metro dudes in it and they mention the 286 hp and it was good how he sent the message in blackberry and got to the office before the message arrived. Very clever.

10. GO LAKERS!!!!!

You think 72mos financing is bad? i've seen contracts for 84, 96, and 108 month terms.
