Question about inspection (for Tx)
I go to school in Texas, but I have a company car registered in Kentucky. My inspection is going to go out soon but I don't plan I driving back to Ky before then. So my question is can I get a ticket by Tx cops for not having valid Ky inspection?

Don't even worry about it, my brother has been in Georgia for the past 5 years and we don't state inspect the car, a 1000 mile drive back to NY is not worth it, the Georgia cops only want to see it's registered, state inspection means nothing except for the state it's registered in, cops generally only know the laws of the state they work in

I wouldn't worry about it. If you do get in trouble for it, just plead stupidity and go get a TX inspection. You can get it inspected here without it being registered. If you want to save a few bucks, go outside of Dallas/Collin county and you won't pay the large county emmissions fee.

I have been in Texas for over 2 years with VA tags. VA requires annual state inspections and there is a yellow decal that on the windshield that allows cops to know when inspection is due.
I have yet to get into any trouble. I doubt the Texas cops even know what the decals mean. The decal on my Lexus states 03/2005. I'm just too lazy to scrape it off.
