What's the cops going to do about it? Insurance will cover it?

Well that just sucks. Did you do something to **** off Mother Nature on Earth Day?

Looks like the windshield took most of the damage. Is the hood ok?

The cops were going to fill out a vehicle report, but it doesn't fall under a vehicle issue since there was no accident. Homeowners wants the car insurance to cover it, and car insurance wants home owners to cover it.

I'm not even going to get into all that, just enjoy the view.

It fell across the length of the car and creased the roofline. It's just dark here and I couldn't get a shot of it.

I had a huge oak tree fall on my first car in college - insurance called it "an act of God" that they wouldn't cover. I wondered if that weasely answer wouldn't apply to ANY loss, but just barely 18, I had no recourse - I was probably lucky to even get insurance at all.

It took a tree removal crew 24 hours to cut up the tree and free my car that had been squashed - with the frame down to the axles, and a big dent running the length of the top. I considered leaving God a bill for the damages in lieu of my insurance company's coverage in the collection plate that Sunday, but everything popped back into place with no permanent damage. Maybe that was "an act of God" too . . .

Hope all goes well for you!

Ouch! Hopefully your insurance comes through for you. I assume you don't have the house and car insured by the same folks or else they could point fingers at each other.

Man, that really sucks...what are the chances of that? I hope everyone is ok.

I was looking for the one commercial where a guy comes back out of the grocery and has his name written on it and the insurance agent says "well, we would have covered it if it says David and not Dave"...reminded me of that.

so instead..
got nationwide?

I'm kind of surprised that the cops even have to come out for something like that but I guess you want to have proof and on record that the damage didn't come from hitting some homeless guy and running off.
