Default 2005 Ford GT runs 10.69 1/4 mile with $1400 in mods

Hey guys.. I just wanted to say i though this was very impressive.

The Ford GT only ran around mid 11's in the 1/4 mile stock, and now thanks to Heffners Performance.. With only a supercharger pully and custom computer program, you can sqeeze out an additional 150hp out of this monster. This one runs a 10.69 @135mph on factory tires!

With those simple mods this will slaughter ferrari's and lambo's

I wish Ford didnt stop making these!!

Can't the C6 Z06 run 10s in 1/4 mile stock? I thought I saw a video somewhere before, I could be wrong though because I can't seem to find it anymore.

I recently saw a GT850 - now that IMO is pretty impressive.

I wouldnt say Heffners Performance was the first to do it or anything There have been several tuned down here in the South with "custom computer programs" that have put up those numbers and even more. There's been a few TT conversions as well; makes for some ridiculous powerbands (much better than the supercharger).

Very impressive to say the least. Too bad Ford took the interior from a Ford Focus and dumped it on the inside of the GT. You'd think that a car in that price range would have something a little nicer. Its not like a $5000 upgrade to the interior would have turned buyers away.

the Ford GT is awesome.... only $1400 in mods, too bad we have to come up with the $150k to start with..... they hold their value VERY well....

with the right weather and track conditions, the GT will go 10's.... just not that many out there to try it out....

Here is a video of stock C6 Z06 with drag radials that put down 10.85@129.50

GT is a great car for sure but 2x MSRP vs Vette and no one got their GT for MSRP unless you owned a Ford stealership. For the money "pound per pound", you cannot beat Z06

Your right, these cars do not depreciate much at all, AND they are not easy to come by.

I love the look of the last year GT with the targa top, the wheels and drop on that car just flow perfectly.

Yeah the C6 Z06 has to be dollar per fun AND driveability king. However they are not exactly in the same realm of exotica as the Ford GT, VIPER, Gallardo, etc etc

I guess when you want a little more exclusivity, the GT gets the nod
