WOW .
I REALLY tried to like this car, I did. I tried my best to be open in my opinion, and despite my initial opinions of it looking horrible, I thought it might grow on me. Now it certainly seems like it will not. Seeing these real-life photos, the car looks absolutely HORRIBLE. It looks very close to an Accord, in fact it looks like a bloated and somewhat disfigured Accord. The 3G TL and previous-gen Accord have bigger exterior differences. The tail lights are very close to both the Civic and the Accord. Just as I predicted, the front and rear bumpers are WAY too big and bloated. The front-end looks less aggressive than the 3G TL, not more aggressive as some people have been saying. The foglights and rear-bumper reflectors also look pretty bad. The interior strongly resembles the Accord's interior.
The ONLY thing that looks better in these pics compared to the Acura promo pic is the front fender flare/hump. It looks more subtle in the real-life pics. Not much of compliment, considering almost everything else looks worse.

If u look at the rear, it can almost work as the front of the car. The car just looks horrible, all around! i dont know wtf Acura was thinking... Im a fan of the current TL and my cousin has one and i still think it looks sleek but this is a downgrade imo.
my cousin with the TL said "i can't believe they did this" in disappointment and confusion of what acura is doing with thier new cars.

Been a while since I hit the boards, but I feel compelled to comment here. I dumped my Nissan Sentra after battling electrical/component failures for about a year. 9 months ago, I initiated a 3 year lease on a 2008 Acura TSX (5spd auto, no nav) after shopping around a while and finding the lease offer for the TSX most attractive. Well, after 9 months with the car, I'm sad to report that my perception of the Acura brand - much like the current US economy - has seen a significant correction to the downside. There are a number of reasons all borne of my thus-far TSX experience. First, in cold weather, since the engine sits on fluid mounts, the vibration is unbearable and has initiated a rattle somewhere deep in the dash/rear engine compartment at idle. During warmer weather the car idles well enough, but the ride manages to shake equipment loose nonetheless. And so, additional new rattles and squeaks and other noises have been introducing themselves regularly each month much to my horror and astonishment. If it wasn't for the 300+ watt sound system to cover them all up, I may have put the car in a ditch by now.
Now, I knew when I signed the dotted line that this was not a luxury car rather, a better styled last-generation Accord made in Japan. What I did not expect was something worse than that. But, outside of the exterior styling, fuel economy, and reliability, there's not a whole lot that's redeeming about this car.
And that's what I have to say about the new TL.

FYI, The new TL and TSX (and Acuras) were not just designed by Wall-E, but apparently when he was on CRACK.
Yes.
A robot on crack designs Acuras.
You heard it here first.

You also will hear this new TL is beautiful and the grill is not that bad and all it needs is a drop, new grill, new sides, new rear, new windows, new wheels, new badges and new roof and it will look great.

If someone is deciding between the '08 and '09 TL, they better run to the dealership now and get the former. I don't care what new features the new one will have, based on that latest pic it is purely fugly.

That's just disastrous. How could they chuck everything good about the looks of the previous car and do this? So sad.
The thing on the front end looks like the cow-catcher from a mid-century locomotive, the sides look like the last generation Altima and the back looks like a Cadillac CTS. I sense either confusion or desperation going by Acura's newest cars. But I suppose the Acura faithful will still lap it all up.

The exhaust tips look like something you can get in the Automotive department at Wal-Mart. Acura is doom Lexus,Infiniti and BMW are making automotive strides Acura is F'ing up big time. The TL is the bread and butter this thing shouldn't sell 200 per month.
