great video,,, man it makes me want to buy a convertible fairlady now! because they are cheaper than an m3, more parts, easier to work on, more of a sleeper, better balanced, did i mention they were a lot cheaper?

Z's are great tuners but M3's just have a certain vibe and look to them that I love. German cars are expensive but they are usually pretty cool to drive. I thought my IS350 was great UNTIL I drove a BMW. I love BMW cars but I hate the dealerships, salesmen and people who own most of them.

Kinda sad for the IS-F. The M3 didn't do all that great either...the Nismo Z has 306hp and the other two have over 100hp on it. Perhaps the new e92 isn't as track capable as previous M's.

Ditto I really like the S2000 though.. That car is one helluva performance bargain.. I've seen some used versions for 14k.

or its biased. IMO, Best motoring is hella biased towards japanese cars, I bet you if we did the same race in a european show like top gear or 5th gear, you'll deff get a different outcome. theres no way a nismo z can hang with is-f or m3.

Nice video. It would be even better if they could bring in 997 GT3, 135i, Evo X, Evo IX, last gen STI and the new STI, RS4, and Exige S.

the german car won and last i checked, the IS-F is Japanese. I don't see a reason why they would favor the z over the Japanese IS-F.

I just can help but feel that they love nissan. Especially in the older shows, we're they heavily glorified the r34.

The Z got clear of the S2K and IS-F from the start. It's just a single race. They could race again and the result could be different. But yes, a Z can hang with an IS-F and M3 - you just saw it happen with your own eyes.

And you're right, the results would have been different if Top Gear conducted the race. Here is what would happen:

1st: Stig in the S2000
2nd: Clarkson in the Z
3rd & 4th: DNF. Hammond in the M3 and May in the IS-F crash into each other in the 1st lap.

no, this is the nismo version that's closer to $35k.
and it shouldn't have been this close. the m3 should've totally trounced it.
