Default Finally, traded my GS350 for the coupe...

Traded in my 2007 GS350 for the new Infiniti G37. Loving my new G coupe every minute of it. Guess GS350 was way too old for me, I'm only 22, what the hack I was thinking when I sign the paper for the GS. Well, too a lot of hit on depreciation, but I guess I'm more happy now.

Awesome ride. Probably the best combination of comfort and performance in a car.

You're 22, have all those cars and work at McDs? D@mn, I need to go fill out an application. j/k

As someone more chronologically advanced, the GS was probably a little too mature for you - would be if I were 22.

Good luck and enjoy your new ride

Thats what I think too. I think its fine to be young and rich or rich-en, and to drive nice car should be no age-limt, but i look way too young, especially my baby face, to be driving a GS. I feel more comfortable to be driving the G coupe. Everyone's been praising the new G coupe. The cops just stopped by where I parked and was checking it out...woohoo

man I keep thinking about getting rid of my GS and getting a G35 as well but the freakn depreciation on the GS is just ridiculous. On the road and track long term test of the gs450h they said it lost 19000 dollars in value in the first year. DAMN!!!!. We are all screwed if we want to dump our cars. I am stuck with her for now. I still love my GS, but I hate the handling, traction control, and the old man brake modulation. I bought the lex bec of the reliability problems I had with my g35 at the end (120000 miles+), but I am seeing why infiniti and BMW still have their market share even with less reliabilty. Its because they are alot more fun to drive. Lexus really is a car that is designed and built fot 65+ drivers.

I currently have a 2004 G35 Coupe 6MT and it has performed flawlessly but I am tired of driving it due to its noisiness, rattles, and harshness. Its been with me for 4 years and I am selling it this June for an Audi A5 Coupe manual. I had to replace my clutch flywheel under warranty due to defectiveness but other than that the Lexus is much more refined obviously and a better finished car. The Lexus handles perfect for my daily driving though I do tend to push it around a bit.

how much was the trade in value at the dealer for your GS 350? Or did you sell it yourself?

Traded in for $37000 plus $2312.50 tax credit, thats about $39312.50 total I'm getting back from the trade. Not bad I guess, only lost about 19% of what I paid after 10 months of ownership.

Trading a GS in for a G37 is almost like a down garde as far as luxury is concerned. If you can afford a GS to begin with, I would have spend a little more and bought the BMW 335i or a Audi. At least with those 2 cars, the interior is almost as nice as a Lexus.

Trading a new car after year 1 is always a financial hit. It's not unusual to see depreciation of 30+% at year one. That's not a lexus quirk. People trade in after a year because they can and just want a new or a nother car.

Hope you enjoy the new ride.
