Wow thats a lot of work just to change out a clutch and a lot of things to go wrong if it didn't get put back properly. At least it will last 50k miles before you have to change it, Ferrari owners had to go thru the same process every 10k miles and that's with gentle driving.

Wow, far cry from a 928 that can be changed in under 30 minutes. that CGT job appears to be a multi day project for sure.

wasnt the 928 a FR v8 car, which makes it inherently easier than most MR or RR engined cars

Yep, but... also it is designed so that the clutch can be replaced from under the bell housing. It just drops down. No driveshafts, etc. to mess with. Imagine my surprise 15 years ago working on my old 928 when the ring gear assembly came down on my forehead. Scarred for weeks and a shock for sure. But easy.
