Very true and to answer your original text before the edit, as much as I prefer to only pay cash and never finance, it can make economic sense to finance if a person can get a lower interest rate of say 3-5% and then use the difference in some investments. For example, my portfolio is up 17.1% for the past year year and 28% for the last 3 months (made some luck calls). Had I financed one of my cars and instead put the money in the market I would be even further ahead. Or further behind had my choices went the other way.
and since when did Caddi go to PepBoys to purchase their steering wheels? Looks like BMW stuff. Being nit picky here of course.

NURBURG, Germany — Cadillac's 2009 CTS-V ran a record-setting 7:59.32 lap of the Nürburgring last week, and GM has just released video documenting the production sedan's high-speed run.
Driven to the record time by John Heinricy from GM's Performance Division, Cadillac confirms that the lapping CTS-V has "no performance upgrades at all," and that the CTS-V ran on stock tires, and surprisingly, with a six-speed automatic transmission instead of the six-speed manual.
Cadillac says the sedan was carrying a harness bar and fire suppression unit onboard as a customary safety precaution, and that the added gear "actually adds a little weight to the car compared to production," but does not provide any "stiffness or structure to speak of."
The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V uses a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 rated for an estimated 550 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 550 pound-feet of torque.

Good shot, bit.
One appreciates the interior of this car even more when it is compared to the last CTS before it. There is still some of the same old GM econo-plastic left, but overall it is much-better finished than before. Though I haven't seen the new CTS-V interior, my guess is that it will have duller, less rich-looking wood trim than non-V models....or no wood trim at all. That is usually the case on high-performance, sport models....darker wood or metallic/carbon fiber trim is substituted for rich-looking wood.

Watching that video two things that stood out where just how stable/sorted the CTS-V was throughout the whole lap and how smooth John Heinricy was at the wheel. I know he's run it a bunch of times but together with the CTS-V he made it look easy. Very nice run!
