I hear from somebody at Ford that they tried to give the 09 Coupe more of a hatchback look, which is why they added the roof spoiler. They thought it would make the back look thicker and thus more like the old hatch. I guess the coupes really weren't selling as well as they wanted and the owners wanted it to be more like their old hatch backs.

 

I just don't get it why can't Ford just give us the Euro version of the Focus, I mean with the way gas prices are going, it might help Ford cause to put back the SVT version of the Focus.

Hate to say it....the 'new' Focus actually looks worse in person.....saw a few at the Toronto auto show....and ewwwwwwwww is all I can say.

 

 

Whats funnier than seeing one of those at full throttle slide by you on the highway by some impatient little man? I think they should bring it back so I can laugh at it some more.

That new Focus just looks cheap. If you compare it to similar vehicles like the caliper and cobalt...its just better craftsmanship.

That is terrible - like some throwback to the 80s. I can't see how that would sell. The European market Focus is a really nice car, built to a higher standard that equivalent VW/Toyota products and with superior ride and handling.

i would be totally ok w. the whole thing but the trunk offends me so much ... if i were driving behind that i would have to have to have to turn or change lanes or something ... yuck

 

And they're calling it the Focus EXP?
