If he is looking at this price range, have your Uncle go and test drive the ML63 it's faster than the Turbo S and it's bigger inside too!

We knew the ML63 was going to do well in our testing, but the numbers it posted had us thinking there might have been a hiccup in the test gear's software. Nope; everything checked out: This puppy is quick. We were especially eager to see how it fared against the 520-hp $132,000 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. Bottom line, it smoked the last Turbo S we tested by a half-second from zero to 60 and by almost 2 mph in the quarter-mile. The big Merc also bested the times we achieved with the 420-hp Jeep SRT8, arguably the only other sport-ute able to keep up with the powerful pair of Germans

They are also doing a face lift on the 2009 models and they look very aggressive! http://allworldcars.com/wordpress/?p=3172

i say go for it. don't get the Q7. as much as i am a fan of the audi styling, i'm not a fan of cars with questionable reliability. on top of that, a friend of mine in socal picked one up and after a few months it was purchased back by the dealership due to too many issues.

the porsche may have it's own set of idiosyncrasies but after having driven one i think it's a great vehicle. i just wish the steering wheel didn't have that huge triangle shaped hub.

cayenne ftw!

I say get one and enjoy the snot out of it.

I like the Cayenne, but i cant speak from experience, but styling, I love it. Would he consider the Range? Those are nice looking as well.

I think quick SUVs like this one are retarted. They waste fuel and increase demand of oil, thus increasing the cost of gasoline for everyone else. Not to mention, that a 4200 lb. SUV hurling toward my 3000 lb. vehicle is not something that I wish to see.

I believe that if someone wants a quick SUV, that person should do us all a favor and get an RX400h.

Hey I have a quick Suv, and I didn't know me getting horrible gas mileage in it was increasing the demand of oil for the everyone..maybe I should sell today then People get cars they can afford period I can afford this truck and I enjoy it.

Plus I only live 7 miles from work so gas mileage isn't a problem for me; also god forbid I'm ever in a car accident but I rather be in my G-wagon than a Rx if I get into a car accident!

You're assuming that because there is more metal around you that you're safer. Not neccessarily true. More metal = more weight = harder to stop = more deadly. Not to mention the whole rollover problem of SUVs.

And yes, you are increasing demand even with your 7 mile commute.

my car weighs over 5600 pounds..i highly doubt it will roll over! The G wagon was designed for military use it definitely safer than an Rx!

"The sturdy structure of the G- Class itself also serves as crash protection. Kelley Blue Book comments that "the vehicle's remarkable robustness, with thicker-than-average sheet metal and hand-built construction, has allowed [earlier models] to sail through every government crash test with flying colors." The G-Class includes the Tele-Aid system, which will contact an emergency response specialist in case one is needed. Rescue teams can then be dispatched to the vehicle's satellite-pinpointed location"

So I am wondering where is your Hybrid then? Please I don't need you tell me how I am ruining the planet when I drive maybe a total of 700-800 miles per month! I don't need anyone lecturing me on what I should be able to drive!

I guess anyone who drives a M3,M5, Amg car,RS4, RS6, R8, Lexus Is-F,Porsche Turbo, any exotic car, and any Suv that isn't a hybrid is destroying gas prices for the rest of us!

There's a big difference between a 16 MPG IS-F and a 8 MPG monsterous SUV.

And yea, I think I will tell you not to drive your G. Don't do it. Ever. Throw the keys away.

You may want to hold out for this 500+hp V10 Porshe slayer..

We spotted at the legendary Nurburgring circuit a prototype of upcoming BMW X5 Motorsport.

The famous official tuner BMW, Motorsport, for the first time is making an SUV. The engine should be the same amazing 500hp V10 actually under BMW M5's bonnet. Alloy whhels are at least 21 inches, to guarantee great handling and precision drive.

Stay tuned on Infomotori.co.uk for more news and spyshoots!
