The Escape does have a fairly good reliability record. You certainly can't call it a piece of junk by any means. Some of the materials and quality put into it are quite good. Others clearly are not. I tried to cover all of that in the review. Overall, it is not necessarily any better or worse than many other small SUV's it competes against...though the Honda CR-V clearly has the best overall build quality, the Hyundai Santa Fe has perhaps the nicest interior materials and best ride quality, and the Subarus clearly have the best AWD systems.

Next planned review: 2009 Hyundai Sonata
I may or may not formally write it up, though (haven't decided), as I am looking at one right now just for my own curiosity, and, of course, have not ruled out a Hyundai product as my next car purchase.....I have a high opinion of them.
But I have not gotten any formal requests for a new Sonata review, and rdgdawg is going to do a review and picture-posting of his own new Sonata soon anyway.

Thanks.
2008 or 2009? The 2009 is not available yet....but there will be some significant differences.

I'd like to see a review on the Acura TL-S if that's possible...
