Got my latest issue of prison wipes aka C&D
There is a comparison test in there....
GT-R vs 911 Turbo vs M3
I will not spoil.
THey tested the Infiniti FX 50S and the Acura TSX and Mini Clubman.
Long term Altima that cost 32k write up.
G35Xs short term, Cobalt SS, Quattroporte
Basically if you want my subscription I will send it to you b/c they have gone to new lows for auto journalism. Its not even worth the $2 I spent for 12 issues of basically, toilet paper for inmates.

I've grown quite dissatisfied with BMW and Driver myself. I used to be avid reader of it after I had gotten sick of Motor Trend 5 or 6 years ago.
By the way, former C&D executive editor Brock Yates is one of the biggest @**holes I've ever met.

C&D has gotten a LOT better since the re-design (the redesign being the low point).
Of the main three monthly mags (RT, MT, C&D) it blows them all away.
The hatred for the mag is really hot here because C&D does not like the way most Lexus vehicles isloate the drivers from the road. Of course it is called Car & DRIVER - but nobody here seems to notice. They are also one of the only mags to adjust for temp, alt, and humidity on their runs - so their numbers are at least comparable month to month.
PS a quick read would tell you that the Cobalt SS is a lot faster than you think and you may not want to mess with one....

Mike, I do not remember this comparison test. I do remember a test called Competitors in the Crosshairs where they talk about the GT-R vs. the R8, M3, Z06, F430, LP560-4, CLK63 Black and the 911 Turbo. Maybe you can help us out here and give us some examples of this article showing "new lows for auto journalism" and show us why you hate C&D so much.

"Every other manufacturer should give up on building their own cars and just make M3s instead!"...interesting quote from Car and Driver. You really can't go wrong with any of these cars. Myself, I'd take the Porsche anyday of the week and I have an e92 M3 on order. I reallly like the GTR, but I have always loved BMW. It's a great time to be a car enthusiast.
