Even if it tops out at $45k it will still be a bargain. $45K for 450hp
With that power it will definately be on close to the GT-R/Z06 powerwise. It will probably beat the IS-F ,335 and give the M3 a run for it's money. But you're right only true subie enthusiasts will probably pay more than $40K and the haters will come and say it's just a "subaru"

More like the XF resembles the Legacy, as that generation Legacy pictured came to market LONG before the XF did.

The XF resembles not just that, but many other cars. The problem with the XF is that its headlights are very generically styled, and resemble several Korean and Japanese cars.

I always thought and hoped they would turbo their flat six and make some serious horsepower especially after seeing that B11S concept.

Now all they have to do is put it in a 2 door sleek sports car/coupe instead of a wagon. I would much rather have a sports car with a twin turbo flat six then some wagon. At least make it into a proper sports sedan. This would be the perfect powerplant for a new SVX. The original SVX should have had a turbo option as well as a manual option, it certainly would have sold better if it did.

What would be nice is since Subaru is working with Toyota they should put this powerplant in a new 6MT Toyota Sports Car *cough* Supra if and when they ever bring it back. Make it 3500lbs max with this powerplant and price it no more than $50K and I think they will have a GT-R competitor.

I would say it is a great bargain if it starts at $39,000 and reaches fully loaded at $45000, considering the other 400+hp supersedans starting at mid 50s. I would like to see it go head to head against GT-R, IS-F, M3 sedan and GT3.

Yeah! Put this powerplant into a IS-chassis coupe and call it a Supra; have the other motor options standing by as well.

I don't need 450hp...

Just give me 350hp at around $33k with all the goodies and a cockpit as nice as the current Legacy then I'll pick one up when my IS350 is paid off in 3 years.

That would be a very nice powerplant and I have suggested that before for a future Supra but I would really like to see an overbuilt 4 liter twin turbo v8 in the next Supra or at least as an option with around 475hp and able to be tuned for alot more hp. A v8 would give the Supra alot of respect and make it unique as the first v8 sports car from Japan. No matter how good the 6 cylinder is even if it is turbo charged there are still alot of sports car enthusiasts who won't take it seriously unless it has a v8/v10/v12 or won't pay over 40K for it unless it is a Porsche 911. The RX7, Supra tt, 300zx tt, 3000GT, were all great cars and generally outperformed the v8 competition but alot of sports car buyers still would not consider them because they did not have v8s or a Porsche badge even if in many ways their tt 6 cylinder or rotary engines were better then v8s.

I've always liked the Legacy a lot more than the rest that Subaru has to offer. It's got both style and speed. Especially the B5... *drool*
