Good call, the interior is filled with barn yards of hard plastic everywhere you look and touch. In real life, there are horrendous panel gaps, especially around the globebox and the gauge cluster on the Pilot looks straight out of a $10,000 econobox. It is such a huge downgrade from the previous gen it's not even funny. It feels like a half done vehicle, and the words of this designer explains it...the accountants won every battle, and it plays out not only in how the suv looks, but feels.

There are a few things that Honda could've done better though. It's missing bluetooth keyless ignition, power folding mirrors, power folding running boards, and that damn grill. Changing that grill is on the priority list after I get some running boards installed. The plastic in the dash is not that cheap compared to other manufacturers. And one more thing, this new body style is actually more aerodynamic than the previous model.
IMO, the Pilot/RidgeLine looks a 100x better with a different grille.

This new gen Pilot does look a lot better on the road then in pictures. Although, as others have mentioned, they could have done some things better I'd have to say yes its grown on me.

This is like the new Chris Bangle of Honda/Acura design. Honda had some pretty sleek designs until lately.
