nice find, I have been looking for 1 for 3 weeks. I think I am going to have to settle for an ST locally since I am getting tired of renting, I drove the ST, OMG 105 hp is sooooooooooooooooo slow. I used to drive a 91 MR2 and love the celica's of this gen, the new celicas are fugly.

Congragulations.
I had a 1995 Celica ST (same color/body style) I bought brand-new and kept 6 years. It was one of the best cars I ever owned, though somewhat underpowered with the ST's 1.8L 110 HP and automatic. The 1994-1999 generation, IMO, was the best-looking Celica line ever built, although they lost the AWD All-Trac models by then. The smaller, cheaply-built, Hot-Wheels look-alike Celica that replaced it in 2000, was, IMO, a joke in comparison. The Scion tC was, in many ways, a far more fitting replacement than the 2000 Celica.
The color that you and I both had was called Bright Iris Pearl, at least in 1995 and 1996....actually more blue than purple (it was a gorgeous color). I don't remember them changing the name to Purple Opel Metallic for 1997.
