I don't like the rear tail lights at all, makes it look downmarket and more like a boxster or Cayman. My favorite 911 taillights are the 993 taillights that went all the way across, those looked very good. The current 997 taillights look much better then these new ones coming out.
Porsche has such a loyal 911 market that I doubt they will ever do anything drastically different with the design and I kind of like that. They have one of the deepest sports car heritages and their fanbase likes the basic design which has not changed that much over the years. The 928 was supposed to replace the 911 but 911 fans complained so much that they chose to stay with a 911 like design. They were going to put a 8 cylinder in the 997 but their buyers and fans said they wanted flat sixes for a 911.
I do think Porsche should do a different sports car for someone who wants a sleeker Porsche sports car with something else other then a rear engined flat six and a different shape then a 911. I would like to see them do a mid engine 2 seat sports car with a v8 or flat 8 that would directly take on the F430, R8, Gallardo, upcoming BMW M1, Lotus Espirit, etc instead of the 911 and its varients having to take on these cars kind of like a much less expensive Carrera GT.

What face lift 
To me porches have kept the same looking face with adjustments that have been sooooo minuscule that its difficult to tell its changed. Its somewhat like a person, you won't notice the change in a year or 2, but if you span 10 or so years, you see a drastic change. Porsche grows like people do LOL.
