motorcycle Insurance

Anyway, state farm charges based on engine size rather than type of bike. Which is nice since you don't have to pay extra for a sports bike. They also charge you based on your driving record and how long you've had your vehicle license, not how long you've had your motorcycle license.

try to put the motorcycle under your parents name and yourself under them. I did that with my 600, full coverage is about 50/month. As stated before, statefarm is your best bet at prices, but they do require you to insure another vehicle with them

Sorry, I have to disagree. If you've been riding bikes since you were 5 or 6 and hold a competition license, I'd say a liter bike would be no big deal for a 19 year old. If you've NEVER ridden and want a liter bike as a first ride, I completely agree. It will get out of hand far too easily. IMHO, Britain does it right with horsepower limits for new riders so you don't have a handful of 150+ hp at a quarter turn. It takes a few years to get use to what that kind of power will do (and it really is violent if you are caught off guard).
