Fuji track likes to rain too and Toyota isnt good in the rain so its even less likely to be a good race for toyota but we sure can hope
and ill be cheering for toyota regardless
A small correction; Toyota's F1 operations are mainly based in Germany, but also in Japan.

Absolutely! Fantastic defense and a great drive by Jarno. It would be cool if Toyota had finally found something in the car to improve their pace that much. Props to the team.

Sadly I have to agree with jwong77 here. I don't see any real chance of a Toyota win unless all 6 cars (Ferrari, McLaren and BMW) crash out.

+1. I really do not see Toyota's cars being that competitive this year. They still do not have the cars sorted enough to play heads up against the usual front runners.

Golden opportunity missed....They would have placed 3rd in the WCC too.

They only build the engines in Japan. Everything else is done at the TTE factory in Koln [Cologne]

I disagree...a few steps more and they will be right there with BMW and depending on the track, right there with McLaren.

I do hope they find something to give them that extra push though. Shame that BMW won before them

Button won in a Honda a couple of years ago, anything is possible, especially in the rain. Unfortunately the Toyota is not that great in the wet, even Trulli himself said that the Toyota is a handful in the wet. I would like to see them win, but it just doesn't seem all that likely.

Betting on a double points finish next week, and maybe a podium to go with it.

On top of engine building, at the Highashi-Fuji Technical Center they also do advanced R&D in different areas of F1. They communicate closely with the factory in Germany all the time.

If Toyota gets another podium next week then it will be clear they've made a step up and are getting closer to the top teams.
