I think the rear end looks like an LS.
I don't think it's ugly. Does remind me of a big 3 series though.

Nice lines and wonderful details but LS pulls off same design theme much better

 

The front looks hideous because of the grille. I think that the LS looks way better. Looks like the bangle butt is gone for good and for once I think that BMW copied Lexus, look at the dark wood, I've never seen it in a BMW or Mercedes and the gear lever is brought back to the center, just like the LS. And the square exhaust pipes...but I like the LED turn signals on the rear lamps, I wish that I can see that in a Lexus one day, it just makes the car look more "futuristic".

 

Does anyone else see the Genesis?

 

If they do it's because Hyundai borrowed. Not the other way around.

I think the front end works. What doesn't is the generic economy car rear end. I may actually prefer the Bangle butt to this since the Bangle butt had its own character.

I may never warm up to BMW's interiors. They may be ergonomic masterpieces but I just wouldn't want to live in them.

The CS concept was just so much more striking. I wish it had more of its influence.

Very nice looking car. Can't really complain about anything but I wish that front bumper wasn't as awkward looking.

 

Beautiful machine. Tires & wheels fill up the fenders as it should on a sport luxury sedan. I see it will include the new I-drive interface as well Access to CL & bimmerpost from behind the wheel...

the back is pretty good, same with the side profile.

but i cant look past that hideous grill. its way to large in comparison with the headlights

I thought it would be a complete redesign borrowing some cue from the CS

Tail lights resemble the z4 though.

front end has a little bit of maserati quatro styling around the nose/grille area

 

Taillights throw me off (it's a bit unbalanced -- assymmetrically curvy in opposition to a generally muscular bulky body). Also, front end looks 5-Series-ish.

Otherwise, I like the simplicity and refinement, albeit outdated.
