The flashing 3 times signal was on our older MB C coupe, it flash 3 times if you press slightly so you don't have to hold the signal while changing lane, I thought it's a good idea and it's good once you get used to it, but if you made a mistake to signal, there's no turning back. hahaha

Both my Audi A4 and 335i do/did that... on my 335i there's a menu in the info center to turn it on or off. May have been on the A4 too and I don't remember it, but either way I like it on.

You could also program it through the I-Drive on the new BMW M3 I reviewed a few months ago.

On this particular Astra, however, the stalk itself was defective. It worked itself loose and fell right off the column into my lap. Fortunately, the design of the connection is simple....all you do is plug it right back in like a computer mouse, although, of course, that doesn't really fix it tight.
