Default Do you care if a buddy drives your car?

What type of owner are you? Are you the laid back toss the keys to a friend OR the guy that checks for scratches after every drive in any car you have? I have a story to go along with this. My buddy who has a Turbo NSX is extremely paranoid about people driving his car now. I didn't expect he would be like this until I got good enough at driving a stick to ask him to drive it. Now he is being really weird about the whole thing. He was the friend that got me into these cars from the first place. He kept telling me, "You need to drive one to understand it." That is easier said than done these days.

I ALWAYS let my friends drive my car if they're careful.

Most of my friends can't drive stick. But the one that can I don't mind at all.

I'm going to get the JB3 from Burger Motorsports for my 335i. So essentially theres a mode where it decreases my turbos to 1-2 psi. So when I lend it to my "buddy" it'll drive like a 328i.

I enjoy sharing the experience of my car with my friends and I'm happy to let them take my car for a spin.

Having said that, I do check their shoes for dirt and their back pockets for sharp objects before they get in the car...

As long as they dont crash it, I dont really care who drives it. It's just a car to me and it's replaceable. If they break it, they buy it..simple as that. I'm not going to lose sleep because someone else drove my car

If the car is stock, I wouldn't care. If a friend might scrape the body or exhaust or curb my wheels, there's a problem.

If that friend of mine is responsible and takes care of other people's property then I don't see why not.

Not at all.

I've let my friends drive my car, and I tell them to "Go buck wild."

They love my car. And they also know how much I love my car. So they are respectful, and know what their limits should be...

Drive it? I even let my friends TRACK it! and if I was with them I would encourage them to PUSH it.

I let my friend dive my car once and he hit a mail box. I had to replace the fender and mirror. From that point on NEVER!

The only person so far that i can trust driving my car is my father. My mother is still very nervous with it. My roommate said he could drive stick, but when i let him have my car he went down the street with the e-brake still on and grinded into second. He's not driving it again until he gets some practice in.

Sure, but only a select few, and they must have a car equal or greater value to qualify.

I only allow certain friends/family members to drive my car. I just look at how they drive theirs, if they do not give a **** about their car then why would they care about mine.
My girlfriends little brother wanted to show off at school so he asked me if her could take my car to school one day, when I told him I would let him he was ecstatic. It was like a kid on Christmas, he babied the thing even more that I do.
