ugh, I just bought a 1997 Honda Civic and I live in "ranks at No. 1, with San Diego/Carlsbad/San Marcos, Calif."

I just got liability, have no alarm

I read once somewhere that the Civic (90's) had some sort of emergency brake and pedal combination that could be used to start them without the key. No hotwiring, just the code.

Kind of like B A B A up down up down left right left right select start in NES .

doesn't matter, 1 dent puller to the ignition and a screw driver to start it andoff you go, shouldn't take more than 20 seconds to steal a civic.

The code can be easily obtained from Honda's Interactive Network intranet, but it's only if you lose the transponder keys for the car - the Civic didn't have it until 2001.

And either Columbia or Princeton cracked the GM RFID system used in the C/K and GMT800/900 trucks, looks like pretty soon a laptop is all you need to steal a car.
