Default Euro Plates on Non-European Cars?

I've been thinking about getting one of those custom Euro plates for my SC. Now before you commence flaming, I just want your opinion. My friend who drives a Scion tC got one for his car, so I decided to see what it would look like on mine. He held it up to my bumper as I took a few steps back and it actually looks pretty good.

I also saw this video and the one on the first car looks pretty amazing to me.

So what do you all think? Yay, or nay?

Edit: fixed link

Well lets see here. I think its okay once your car is at least available to be bought in Europe. The SC was. EVO mag actually had a fun test with it vs some other older cars the past 4 issues.

No Scion has seen the light of day in Europe so thats rice.

CANNOT go WRONG WITH GOATS!!!

My personal preference it looks more appropriate for Euro cars but again, once the car was/is sold in Europe, even if its an American/Japanese etc car, then no big deal.

I guess I would complete the look and get Euro side markers and anything else the Euro SC had.

i said 'no' but i think it would be ok if you did everything else euro as well

otoh, fewer plates in my opinion are better ... in bc we must have a front plate (as well as back) and i personally think cars look better w. no front plate at all

I voted for goats. They take care of your lawn. Euro license plate? Not as much.

Ok well first of all you need to explain what you mean by custom euro plates? There are a lot of people the put european plates behind their US plates, and since euro plates are skinnier and longer than US plates, you dont see the numbers, you only see the country codes. I want some Russian plates like that with RUS code sticking out

Through this site you can order a custom made plate.
I might go through with it as they're only like 40 bucks and see how it looks. I'll post some pics if I do.

For car shows? I'd say go for it. Personally, I think it would look pretty stupid to have a euro plate along with your state issued plate. Would remind me of the semi trucks.

This is the dumbass thing that a lot of people do over here, but you are not allowed to leave it with Euro plates, so they put the original plates over the top of them and b/c the Japanese plates are much smaller in width the euro plates stickout the sides. It looks ridiculus.

So why would you want to do a thing that mostly dropkicks do over here, in the States? I say goats.

Another thing to add. As for having two plates in front, I think it looks stupid. But if I do this, I'll be running just the euro plate in front and the Colorado plate in back. I figure I'll be in Cali, but have Colorado plates, so there's nothing they can do about it.

When I was in Mexico City, you had the option if you requested it to receive a euro style plate in place of the ones we are accustomed to in the U.S. and on most cars I saw they looked good, but a few bad ones left me with the idea that it's best for these things to remain in Europe.
