Chevy's service techs aren't necessarily any better than Ford's.

The steering column on the MAzda 6 literally pops when turned and they cant "FEEL" it. My best bet is that it wasnt loobed-up well.
Probably a defect in the rack. It is a fairly common problem with rack-and-pinion steering systems, which are now almost universal.

I would actually throw a party if Ford went completely under, but what is due is due and if the IRS owes Ford some money then good for Ford for going after them. It's a little different to see Ford actually suing someone else for a change.

Why? They make some nice vehicles, though admittedly with so-so interiors and fit/finish. Still, their overall reliability level is better than most Chrysler and GM products.

The more companies in the auto marketplace, and the greater the choice for the consumer, the better it usually turns out to be. Saturn, for example, has gone WAY downhill since Oldsmobile folded and GM tried to use Saturn to replace it.
