Spy Shots: Honda's hybrid Prius-fighter caught
#20
It looks exactly like a Prius because Toyota spent many, many hours trying to find the most aerodynamic shape for a people carrier. It's ugly, yes but it's very slippery (Cd is .26).
So did Honda make a prius with a scalloped belt line and a honda grill? yep, but they don't have a whole lot of options. Still amusing though.

Appears to be almost as ugly as the Prius which is a feat.
But in fuel-economy obsessed times, design options are few, cars will look like rounded mounds although the chopped back on this one is probably to make loading up from the back easier and to give more space.
I really hope it turns out to be less quirky than the Pious.

I just love how they're driving around with a Prius for comparison, lol. Does Honda know it's a 5+ year old car on it's way out?? A new, much improved Prius will be coming out right around the same time to compete with this Honda.

I don't know how Honda could undercut the Prius's price when the Civic Hybrid starts higher in price now and doesn't even compare technologically to the Prius. The Civic Hybrid can't even run on battery power alone while the Prius does.

The Civic Hybrid, though, with one exception (off-brake jumpiness while starting out), is a much less quirky car to live with day in and day out than the Prius. After driving and reviewing both, I'd take the Civic Hybrid in a heartbeat.
