Of course we've all had this gauge argument a million times already and people will never agree with it.

But the fact of the matter is that a lot of people actually do like it and even prefer it after driving with it a few times. I read literally thousands of reviews and owner reviews of the Yaris before I bought one and most owners make a point of praising the gauge placement. These people admit that at first look they weren't thrilled about them but began to prefer it that way. For me, there's no preference for where they are. And pictures make the gauges appear as if you have to shift your eyes way to the right but actually when your sitting in the car the gauges are actually just in front of your right shoulder so there is barely any eye movement.

I'd take the Yaris any day over an Aveo.
